The Scriptures assert that God is one, and that there is none other than the one God, and yet they also assert that the one God reveals himself as God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) possess the attributes and do the work of God, are called God, and exercise authority as God. The Bible affirms both God’s oneness, and God’s plurality (that the Godhead is more than one person ), with the persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit addressed together as being persons within the Godhead. The doctrine of the Trinity asserts that God exists in three persons, and that all the members share the same essence, are distinct in their personalities and work, and yet are co-equal in glory, together comprising the one true God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father Almighty is God, and displays all of the divine attributes of greatness. God the Father Almighty is a spirit, not composed of matter or a physical nature. God the Father Almighty is and has life, he has always been and is indestructible and immortal. God the Father Almighty is a person, he is self-conscious, capable of knowing, feeling, and choosing, and able to relate to other beings and creation. God the Father Almighty is infinite: in regards to space he is omnipresent , in regards to time he is eternal , in regards to knowledge he is omniscient , and in regards to power, he is omnipotent . God the Father Almighty is finally unchanging and constant: he will never not be, he has always been what he ever will be, and he will not alter in any of his perfections, glories, or excellencies.
