The Prophetic Work of the Holy Spirit

Segment 2: The Spirit Who Convicts Us of Our Sinfulness

Rev. Terry G. Cornett

In this second segment, we will emphasize that the prophetic Spirit is the one who convicts us of our sinfulness. Every time that the Spirit speaks prophetically, he is seeking to draw us toward the will of God. Therefore, the prophetic work of the Holy Spirit includes not only the revelation of the will of God but also an ongoing ministry in which the Spirit convicts us of disobedience and graciously empowers us to repent of our sins and turn to God. This convicting work of the Holy Spirt is the subject of this segment.
