B. The witnesses which speak of Jesus’ identity, 5.30-47
Jesus is God’s faithful shaliach , or agent, the one who acts as representative of another as himself, backed by his full authority. Moses and the OT prophets acted as God’s shaliach , standing, speaking, and acting in God’s stead. After Jesus’ death, the apostles and the people of God are viewed as God’s agents and ambassadors as well (2 Cor. 5.20).
