We must adopt a warfare mentality if we are going to represent Christ and his Kingdom. A warfare mentality means we stay aware and alert. We must constantly remember that we are in a war, and that our enemy does not fight fair. We fight cosmic forces of darkness and the spiritual powers of evil (Eph. 6.13). We wage war with spiritual weapons of love, truth, prayer, righteousness, and salvation through the Gospel. A warfare mentality also means we stay disciplined and ready. It is important for us to understand that the Lord has outfitted us for battle, and he expects us to engage in warfare. We take hold of the armor that the Lord provides knowing that the battle belongs to him! We do not have to walk in fear because there is no power of darkness that can stand against Christ. Be the light of Christ for your family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. We all have a network of people that we know or come into contact with regularly. Some connections from our old life may need to be cut off for a time. However, many of these connections will provide opportunities for the Gospel. Most people who come to faith in Christ will do so with a trusted person like a friend or family member. If Christ is transforming us, those around us will notice. We should always be ready to give the reason for our hope and transformation (1 Peter 3.15). We can also actively seek to reach our network of people by praying
