D eparting to S erve Benediction

Thank you, heavenly Father, giver of the Holy Spirit, for sending down to us the gift of your indwelling Spirit. We now know that by faith you have come and indwelt us, that we are not alone, that all we need for life and godliness you have provided for us in your Spirit. Make us like Christ, and conform our lives to his, in every way, shape, and form. We want to be like him, and to accomplish your will in all things, just as he did. We wait on you alone. In Jesus’s name we pray, amen. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: Though we are dead in sin, the Spirit of God in us gives us life. Monday: To set the mind on the flesh is death and is hostile to God. Tuesday: To set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. Wednesday: Anyone who does not have the Spirit of God does not belong to him. Thursday: Though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Friday: The Spirit of God in us is a downpayment guaranteeing eternal life. Saturday: Through the Spirit of God in us, we may put to death the deeds of the flesh.
