T he S eason from E aster to P entecost

Affirmation for the Day Sunday: As the Scriptures foretold, it was necessary that the Christ should suffer and enter into his glory. Monday: Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, the anointed one of God foretold to come through the prophets. Tuesday: The Scriptures (Moses and the prophets) testify of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Wednesday: Of the person and work of Jesus Christ, all the prophets of the Old Testament testify. Thursday: Through the suffering of Jesus all the curse has been defeated, and new life begun. Friday: Jesus alone possesses the authority and power to conquer death, for he is the firstfruits of the resurrection, the first of those who have fallen asleep, raised to life. Saturday: Like the Emmaus travelers, it is through the Word of God and in the breaking of the bread that our eyes are opened and we recognize Jesus as both Lord and Christ. Pray without Ceasing – Flash Prayer for the Day Lord, come and abide with us, speaking to us the things concerning yourself on our roads, and revealing yourself to us in the breaking of the bread.
