Affirmation for the Day Sunday: In his own suffering, Christ, our good shepherd, left us an example so that we could follow in his steps. Monday: Peter identifies Jesus with the suffering servant of Isaiah’s prophecy. Tuesday: Jesus never responded in kind when people hated him, abused him, or even did violence to him. Wednesday: us endured suffering by entrusting himself completely to God, who judges justly. Thursday: When Jesus suffered on the cross, he bore our sins in his body. Friday: By Jesus’s wounds we are healed; we now are free from sin, and may live for righteousness. Saturday: Though we like sheep had gone astray, the Shepherd and overseer of our souls has saved us.
