Lord Jesus, who has made us, your people, into a chosen race and royal priesthood, weld our hearts together in common unity in order that we might glorify your Father through our works of surrender and faith. Fill us with power through the Holy Spirit, and grant us the privilege of hearing your voice even as we raise our voices to you in prayer and praise today. All that we have we offer to you today, as living sacrifices, for your glory. In your name we pray, amen. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: Let us come to God’s chosen and precious Living Stone, Christ, and like living stones be built up as a spiritual house to offer sacrifices acceptable to God through him. Monday: Put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Tuesday: Like newborn infants, we must long for the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word, that by it you may grow up into salvation. Wednesday: Through faith, we who believe have come to Christ Jesus, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious. Thursday: We who believe are like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
