Father in heaven, who at the baptism of Jesus in the River of Jordan didst proclaimhim thy beloved Son and anoint himwith the Holy Spirit: Grant that all who are baptized into his Name may keep the covenant they have made, and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior; who with thee and the same Spirit liveth and reigneth, one God, in glory everlasting. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: Jesus is the beloved Son of the Father with whom he is pleased, and the one upon whom the Spirit rests. Monday: In Baptism we are one with Christ in death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. Tuesday: As the dove descended on Christ and remained, so we are anointed with God’s Holy Spirit. Wednesday: In Christ, we are the beloved of the Father, adopted as members of his household. Thursday: In Christ, God’s Kingdom was breaking onto the world. Friday: God delights in his only Son, Jesus Christ. Saturday: There is one baptism shared by all who are in Christ.
