Thank you, Father, for the prophets, those who testified of the Messiah’s coming, the one whom you have entrusted to inaugurate your Kingdom glory and rule. We know that Jesus of Nazareth is that King, and we ask you for both the grace and strength to obey him in all things, and to testify through our deeds and words of his offer of forgiveness. In his name we pray, amen. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: Jesus is the promised King who will reign forever over his people and the nations. Monday: The Kingdom of Christ will never come to an end. Tuesday: Jesus is the messianic king of Jesse’s lineage, a descendant of David of the tribe of Judah. Wednesday: Jesus will receive tribute from the nations; all peoples will one day acknowledge him as Lord and Messiah. Thursday (The Presentation of the Lord): The child Jesus was acknowledged as God’s Messiah, the one elected by God to reveal the light to the nations, and manifest the glory of Israel. Friday: In the presentation of the Lord in the temple, he was acknowledged as Israel’s glory and the salvation of the nations. Saturday: Jesus shall reign wherever the sun shines, wherever life dwells, wherever creation exists. He is Lord of all.
