I N PART ONE, the source of “this provincial life” was expressed in terms of SLIM , where Jesus had been cropped from the picture by Rationalism and Individualism. Unfortunately in America, the Self has become the center. The customer is King. The target market is Sovereign. Church life has deteriorated to the point that if it is not personally relevant, people will stop attending. In Part Two, the Traditional, Pragmatic, and Emerging methods were defined as three contemporary versions of Jesus being cropped from the picture . Part Three now answers the question: How can Jesus be restored in the picture?”
“Jesus and his Kingdom Story” must replace the “individual customer” as King and Sovereign . His Kingdom must be reconstituted as the SUBJECT of the picture.
