Insights Nothing in life can be compared to the limitless value and pricelessness of the Word of God. Only those who seek it like gold will discover its treasure. • The memorized Word of God has the power to transform us: providing us victory over sin, enriching our spiritual walk, and outfitting us for ministry. With the Word, we are fully equipped for ministry. • Worldliness, laziness, and selfishness are all threats to a disciplined program of Scripture memorization. The price of victory is disciplined effort, constant vigilance, and persevering review. • The one who perseveres in Scripture memorization will experience the benefits of spiritual maturity and ministry vitality, and find themselves equipped for every work of service God provides. Connection Spend some time in reflection and prayer, asking the Lord to reveal to you the things he would have you know and do in light of the truths presented in this chapter. • Do I fully know just how important the memorized Word of God is to my Christian life and ministry?
