C. Strive for faithfulness and excellence in your walk with God.

1 Tim. 4.7-9 – Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; [8] for while bodily train ing is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

1. Start where you are in your Christian walk and commit to be faithful, Prov. 20.6.

2. Join a small group and learn to walk with others, Matt. 18.20.

3. Practice the disciplines of the faith alone by yourself and in the company of other Christians, Heb. 10.24-25 – And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, [25] not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Summary Evangelism is believing the Good News, that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and on the third day rose again from the dead. We must repent and believe the Good News of God’s love in Christ, and through faith, we are regenerated (born anew) and adopted into God’s family. The promise of salvation was given in the Old Testament
