but your will be done. I’m not shrinking back. Though I don’t understand it, You rule and reign in this situation.” IV. Is there an unwavering confidence in the Lordship of Jesus in their life? The Lordship of Jesus is critical to the enterprise of missions. There is no missions apart from the Lord Jesus. If there is the faintest of doubts to the Lordship of Jesus in the church planter, the demonic realm will make folly of the planter and of the effort. Those who are assessing our church planters, must know with absolute confidence and conviction that the one they are appointing, and authorizing have submitted every area of their life to the Lord. The responsibility rests on the sending authority. As Lord of all things visible and invisible, Jesus can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants, with whomever He wants, and however He wants to do it. This absolutely applies to missions as He is the Lord of the Harvest. There are times in which the Lord will break through the natural order of things to work the supernatural as only He determines and understands. More often though, He does work through the natural laws of our world which means He works through the laws of preparation. No newborn hits the ground running the 100-yard dash in ten seconds. There are laws of preparation to get to that point – crawling, standing, waddling, walking, jogging, running, training, racing that require one to be disciplined. Don’t be deceived. Endearment here is not meant to be a soft, warm, comfy-cozy word. It is a rough, self-discipline of the heart, soul, strength, and mind in which the Lord will rightfully demand your all. It is not for delicate, brittle saints. It is for Apostolic Missions Platform Response: Endearment
