1) Proclaim (the Gospel, repentance for the forgiveness of sins) 2) Disciple converts. 3) Baptize 4) Teach obedience to Christ’s commands. 4. It is the Holy Spirit who grants divine boldness for witness (Acts 4.13, 31). 5. It is the Holy Spirit who influences every dimension of the effective preaching ministry (Acts 4.6; Acts 6.10). 6. It is the Holy Spirit who gives the wisdom of God to speak clearly (John 16.13; 1 Cor. 2.13). 7. It is the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16.8). 8. It is by the Holy Spirit one is born again (John 3.5-8). 9. It is by the Holy Spirit one can say, “Jesus is Lord” (1 Cor. 12.3). 10. It is the Holy Spirit who makes elders to oversee churches (Acts 20.28). These Scriptures alone declare the importance, the necessity of the Holy Spirit in missions. It is imperative that if the Church is to continue to move forward into enemy occupied territory, that the representatives of the Kingdom of God, who are authorized and released to establish Outposts of the Kingdom of God, be absolutely surrendered to the Holy Spirit. He is the source of empowerment. Though Scriptures are sufficient in and of themselves, meditate upon the words of what some others have contributed to this Apostolic missions plank, The Holy Spirit.
