F. Creedal Dimensions of the Church

1. One – one worldwide, multi-national, multi-cultural people of the living God, John 10.16

2. Holy – set apart for God’s own possession, pleasure, and use, 1 Cor. 1.2; 1 Thess. 5.23-24

3. Apostolic – anchored and created through the testimony, witness, and authority of Christ’s apostles, Eph. 2.19-22

4. Catholic – universal people of God, encompassing all tribes, peoples, nations, languages, classes, clans, and cultures, Rev. 5.9-10; 7.9-10

II. The Church Is the Locus (the Place) Where the Kingdom Power and Authority of God Are Experienced and Displayed

The Church of Jesus Christ is God’s anointed arena where his presence and power reside, and in the midst of this redeemed and redemptive society, the rule of the Kingdom of God is being experienced by his people.

A. The Church is the locus of God’s revelation and salvation.
