The third step in assigning a number to a course is selecting a “trailer” course number (see sample on page 1 of 4 of Appendix 19.1). B2-102: “102” is the trailer course number. The only requirement is that this “trailer” number is four (4) digits long. This will help TUMI headquarters to identify satellite-developed courses. ➢ For example , the course listed in the first step is in the Christian Ministry department area, so the course number starts with “C.” Lets say the course is taught in 24 classroom hours, so the credit hour number is 3. Then, lets assume that this is the first course taught at your satellite and you decide to number your courses in consecutive order, so you give it the “trailer” number of 0001. Your course number would be C3-0001.

➢ Please note that all TUMI National courses are numbered 001-999. Please select course numbers for your site-developed courses from 1000-9999.
