God’s Plea to You: Don’t Remember the Former Things – New Life Is Ahead

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wild beasts will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise. ~ Isaiah 43.18-21

III. Hammer It Home: We should receive forgiveness for our past, lose everything for the one thing that really matters – for Christ alone – and never regret it, not even for a moment.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. ~ Mark Twain

A. The Key Principle. True disciples of Jesus follow him radically, sacrificing everything, knowing full well that nothing that they do for the Lord will be done in vain, 1 Cor. 15.58.

1. We hold on to no reserves and never retreat because we are convinced that we will never regret it ever!, 1 Cor. 15.58 – Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
