T he S eason after E piphany

Doxology (and/or closing song) Praise God fromwhom all blessings flow; Praise Him all creatures here below; Praise Him above ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen. Departing to Serve

Benediction Lord Jesus Christ, Lord of grace and mercy, grant us the power to be merciful, even as you and the Father have been merciful to us. We are confident that if we love our enemies and do good, expecting nothing in return, truly our reward will be great and we will be children of the Most High God, he who is kind to the ungrateful and to the evil. Let the power of the Father be seen in how we live and love, for your sake, amen. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: As followers of Jesus, we are to love as the Father loves, to love our enemies and to do good to those who hate us. Monday: Our love for others must not be governed by selfish, preferential love but by God’s love for all. Tuesday: God has called us to bless those who curse us, and pray for those who mistreat us. Wednesday: As disciples of Jesus, we are to never retaliate, but to give to others freely and without revenge. Thursday: The rule of life for us as Christ’s disciples is to treat others as we would want others to treat us. Friday: We are to be generous in the same manner that the Father is generous to all. Saturday: The measure we use in relating to others will be the same God uses in connection to us.
