Petitions and Supplications, Ending with the Lord’s Prayer Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

~ Matthew 6.9-13 (KJV)

Benediction May the Lord, who revealed the wideness of his mercy in saving Cornelius and his clan, transform us, too, as we fully embrace his Gospel, which offers forgiveness and mercy to all who believe, wherever they live, and whoever they are. In Jesus’s name, amen. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: God has granted to the Gentiles his salvation, the repentance that leads to life. Monday: Salvation is of the Jews, promised through the lineage of Abraham. Tuesday: The scandal of the Gospel is that God’s grace is being offered to all peoples everywhere. Wednesday: Cornelius and his kinfolk are a pattern of God’s offer of grace to all peoples.
