T he S eason after P entecost

Departing to Serve

Benediction Lord Jesus Christ, we leave this place in your mighty power. We go forth from this time, but not from your presence. We live and breathe and have our being in you through the power of your Holy Spirit. We will not bow to the spiritual forces of this world, to the lies or the pressure which seek to burn us alive in a furnace of fear. Make us strong in the Lord and the power of his might, taking up every day the whole armor of God. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Monday: Put on the whole armor of God to stand against the devil’s schemes. Tuesday: We wrestle against the cosmic powers of darkness and forces of evil in the world. Wednesday: If we take up God’s armor we can withstand in the evil day, and to stand firm. Thursday: We are to fasten on the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. Friday: We are to put on the shoes for readiness given by the Gospel of peace, and the shield of faith to extinguish the devil’s flaming darts. Saturday: We must take the helmet of salvation, and the Spirit’s sword, the Word of God, binding all the armor together by persevering prayer. Pray without Ceasing – Flash Prayer for the Day Lord Jesus Christ, grant to us a fighting spirit to withstand against the enemy.
