III. The redeemed of the Lord were selected by God in order to bring glory to him (1 Peter 4:11, 14). While God intends for all things to praise him, he has especially brought his people to him in order that they might praise him in a higher mode. God saved you, cleansed you, brought you back from a life of sin and disgrace in order that you might now be a light, a trophy, a shining example of his grace and power. He saved you in order that you might glorify his name. A. Scriptures
