Apocalyptic

Imagination

John 5:17 (ESV) – But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.” John 5:19-20 (ESV) – So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. [20] For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.”

John 8:26 (ESV) – I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him. John 8:42 (ESV) – Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me.”

John 14:10 (ESV) – Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

John 5:21-22 (ESV) – For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. [22] The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son.

John 11:23-26 (ESV) – Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” [24] Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” [25] Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, [26] and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

John 4:25-26 (ESV) – The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” [26] Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”

Mark 14:61-62 (ESV) – But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” [62] And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”

Representation

The Self-Consciousness of Jesus Christ

John 5:30 (ESV) – I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.

John 6:38 (ESV) – For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.

John 14:10 (ESV) – Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?

The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

John 17:8 (ESV) – For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have

received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.

Prophetic

Orientation

The Self-Consciousness of Jesus Christ Rev. Dr. Don L. Davis John 17:25-26 (ESV) – O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. [26] I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.

John 5:34 (ESV) – Not that the testimony that I receive is from man, but I say these things so that you may be saved.

John 3:11 (ESV) – Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

John 5:30 (ESV) – I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.

John 8:26 (ESV) – I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.

John 12:47-49 (ESV) – If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge

him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. [48] The one who rejects me

and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on

the last day. [49] For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment--what to say and what to speak.
