III. Operational Strategy (from first interest to deployment)

A. Have Director/Regional VP and MTL discuss candidate in light of World Impact Team Leader Identification Grid. Include verbal assessment with potential candidate in light of this grid.

B. Have potential TL begin the training items above.

C. Interview the potential TL (and spouse where appropriate) to confirm the TL calling and review the above studies.

D. If the calling is confirmed, affirm it before World Impact staff both locally and nationally. Begin to summon people to pray for the next team and ask national leadership to consider building the team in light of national deployment commitments.

E. Have the appointed Team Leader visit with existing Team Leaders whenever Team Leaders meet in their city.

F. Assign the appointed Team Leader to “shadow” an existing team leader for 3-6 months while the appointed Team Leader begins to work on his/her own P-(preparation) requirements. This includes at least a weekly meeting for discussion, processing and learning. G. Team Leader study and begin to implement Forming a Church Plant Team with full understanding of Team Roles and Responsibilities.

H. TL begins to implement Selecting a Target Area .

I. Team Leader begins to build a prayer network for the impending Church Plant.

J. Have Team Leader visit with TL’s in another city either within their region or nationally as arranged by the regional VP.

K. Begin to develop relationship with the assigned MTL and meet together regularly in order to develop relationship and clarity of roles. L. Review with the City Director or MTL any assessments done during the application/interview process (ie DISC, Myers Briggs) with discussions how these results will effect his/her leadership and team formation.
