3. Gird your mind to pay the price to see a church born in the community Christ has called you to serve.
D. Commit to play your position on the church plant team.
1. Buy wholeheartedly into the vision of church planting.
2. Have the courage to count the cost before you join the team.
3. Join the team – don’t sit on the bench. (Remember John Mark.)
4. Make yourself available to be as involved in the church plant as you possibly can.
5. Commit yourself to fulfill the charter of the church plant team.
E. Recognize and submit to Christ’s authority in your ministry.
1. Although the team must be semi-autonomous, it must also be fully accountable.
a. Free to innovate in evangelical method
b. Bound to the mandate of Christ and the vision of our ministry
2. Identify to whom you are accountable: Your church plant team leader, or your City Director or pastor.
3. Identify for whom you are accountable: those on the team and in the community.
4. Identify for what you are accountable: responsibilities and duties on the team.
