Ps. 55.22 - Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. Ps. 62.8 - Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah . Prov. 3.5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. [6] In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Jer. 33.3 - Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Matt. 7.7-8 - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. [8] For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Eph. 6.18 - Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. 1 Thess. 5.17-18 - Pray without ceasing, [18] give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Pet. 4.7 - The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Jude 1.20-21 - But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; [21] keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. In light of these plain injunctions and promises to prayer, never therefore become overly familiar or dismissive of the need to pray with and for your students. Prayer is a wonderfully practical and helpful way to apply truth; by taking specific needs to Prov. 16.3 - Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Col. 4.2 - Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
