1. Instruct the new believers in the Church’s role in Christian discipleship (the importance of the unity of the faith), Phil. 2.1-2.

a. As the Family of God: the home where those who belong to God’s family live, work, and play, 1 John 3.2

b. As the body of Christ: the person through which God acts in the world, Rom. 12.4-8

c. As the Temple of the Holy Spirit: the place where God lives and is worshiped in the world, 1 Cor. 6.19-20

2. Introduce them publicly to the believers in the fellowship, Rom. 15.7.

3. Connect them with godly friends who can ground them in the faith.

4. Link them to an active member, family, and cell (small group) who can ground them in the faith, 1 Cor. 12.24-27.
