D. Practicing Christian exhortation

1. Listen to the Holy Spirit; offer counsel and response based on the clear standards of Scripture and not your own ideas or intuitions, Gal. 5.16-24.

2. Don’t speculate on the salvation status of the offender, let God determine who belongs to him (not us).

3. Get and keep your facts straight when exhorting about particular situations, 2 Cor. 13.1.
