God is our possession, and we are at the same time God’s possession. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will do this (v. 5). Mention to him what you suffer, mention to him what you desire. For the salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him (vv. 39–40).
