• There are those in the form of prayer such as Psalms 17, 68, 90, 102, 132, 142; • There are those that combine petition, prayer and entreaty, such as Psalms 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 16, 25, 28, 31, 35, 38, 43, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 60, 61, 64, 83, 86, 88, 138, 140, 143; • And having petition with thanksgiving, such as Psalm 139; • And then there are those that are only in the form of petition, such as Psalms 3, 26, 69, 70, 71, 74, 79, 80, 109, 123, 130, 131; • Those in the form of confession are Psalms 9 [and 10], 75, 92, 105, 106, 107, 108, 111, 118, 136, 138; • Those having a combination of confession and narrative are Psalms 9 [and 10], 75, 106, 107, 118, 138; • Psalm 111 has a combination of confession and narrative with adoration; • And Psalm 37 is in the form of exhortation; • Those that have prophecy are Psalms 21, 22, 45, 47, 76; • And Psalm 110 has a reporting of events joined with prophecy; • And exhortation as well as prescriptions are found in Psalms 29, 33, 81, 95, 96, 97, 98, 103, 104, 114; • Exhortation with song is found in Psalm 150;
