What is unique about crucifixion compared to other forms of death? What is the significance of Jesus dying particularly by means of crucifixion?

How does it make you feel knowing that Jesus bore your shame so that you can receive his honor?

To “take up your cross” means to embrace the shame and hardships that come with a life of following Jesus. What shame or hardships are you experiencing as a result of your faith? How does Christ’s victory on the cross give you perspective on those situations?

How would your life be different if you began every day with a commitment to deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Jesus?
