According to Scripture, what challenges exist in communicating the Gospel to the wealthy and affluent? What barriers exist in sharing the Gospel with the poor and indigent? 2. Do you agree with the statement: “The specific teaching of the New Testament [is this]: We cannot claim to be converted to God and not choose to be converted to the poor.” Why or why not? 3. Why are our expectations of the poor and their possibility so important to ministry among them? Explain. 4. What kinds of attitudes will it be necessary for us to cultivate in order to believe that God wants the poor to not only be transformed, but to be the leaders of the Kingdom in their own neighborhoods?
