IV. We believe that every Christian is a priest of God, and therefore every Christian is a minister of the gospel. AF may have a single Elder’s council and a single Pastoral team, but it has an entire congregation of ministers, called by God to share Christ’s com passion with the needy, and communicate Christ with the lost! We are all ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ! We must be careful to balance the attention, resources, and efforts we have on ourselves over against what we do to meet the needs of others. We need both intake and outreach. A. Intake : Each member must receive from others in the AF body all the grace and input they need that will allow them to benefit and mature in their spiritual life. B. Outreach : Each member must identify their own gifts and resources and make them available to God for Him to use to meet the needs of others, both inside and outside the Anyname Fellowship body. V. The New Testament teaches that God has given each member of the body spiritual gifts in order that the body may become spiritually mature and may numerically multiply (1 Corinthians 12.1-13). Furthermore, God has given to the church significant gifts (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) for three distinct purposes: B. For the work of service (each Christian is to be trained to use their spiritual endowments in order to serve the body and the world). C. For the upbuilding of the Body of Christ (all efforts from are to be done so that Christ’s body might be built up, spiritually and numerically). VI. Our goal at Anyname Fellowship is that you may be able to identify your particular gifts, be trained to use them effectively, and then employ them in order to multiply the ministry of the body in this community, country and around the world. We are looking to multiply our ministry potential, not merely swell. A. For the equipping of the saints (helping each Christian understand their gift and use it fully in the body).
