D. Affirm freedom in Christ, proclaiming cultural neutrality and contextualization.
Don’t impose prefabricated cultural methods and standards; affirm our freedom in Christ.
1. Biblical viewpoint, Col. 3.11; Gal. 3.28
2. Elaboration: We are free to embody the truth within our own cultural lens and experience, i.e., to translate its meaning within our received culture.
3. Analogy: Cornelius and his clan receiving the Holy Spirit, Acts 10-11
4. Ramification: Christ has won freedom for every Christian, enabling them to explore the possible applications and connections his truth provides them considering their own cultural heritage and context.
a. God has chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom to come, James 2.5.
b. No culture should assume its own priority and significance over other cultures.
c. Oral-learners with limited academic performance possess no deficiencies in regards to spirituality and fruitfulness in the Gospel. d. Disallow anyone to patronize your church members; expect great things. and model and acknowledge excellence. 1 Cor. 10.31-33.
