4. The heart of all biblical revelation is rooted in the person of Jesus Christ and his Kingdom.
a. Jesus Christ himself is the theme of the Scriptures, John 5.39-40; Luke 24.44ff.
b. The Kingdom of God is the master story of Scripture undermining and underwriting all other subplots and stories mentioned in holy Scripture, Matt. 6.33; Mark 1.14-15. C. Connection: interconnect the lessons and principles which arise from the exegesis of Scripture and relate them practically and poignantly to the concerns and experiences of your listeners. 1. Seek to draw explicit connections between the insights gained from the Word of God and the life concerns and situations of your listeners. 2. Challenge your listeners to relate the Word of God to their own particular and specific Sitz im Leben : acknowledge the dramatically unique situation-in-life of every person everywhere. 3. Do not enroll for the part of the Holy Spirit; make suggestions as to how the Word of God might touch upon their lives, but do not demand or take away the freedom of your students to listen to God and respond as he leads, John 10.4-5.
4. Make your record constant .
