President will call and chair the SIAFU Chapter Leadership Council and provide general communication to the pastor and the members of the Chapter about its ongoing business and operations. The President is required to communicate with the pastor/ministry director regarding proposed projects of the Chapter, securing the pastor’s blessing to proceed. S/he also should ensure that the Chapter conforms to the doctrine of the church, and to SIAFU Chapter guidelines. The President will preside over the Chapter meetings, opening and closing each meeting, and ensuring that the one-hour-and-fifteen-minute time limit for the meeting is held to consistently. S/he will open the meeting with a welcome of all Chapter attendees. The president will offer or select someone to provide the devotion for each Chapter meeting and will select the person who will lead the worship time for the week. Vice President Serves as assistant to the president and takes responsibility for the Chapter meetings in the president’s absence. Also, the vice president should preside over Council meetings, when and if the president is absent. The VP role is to provide support for the President and ensure that the decisions of the President and affairs of the Chapter are carried out, both in terms of the Chapter meetings, as well as all other Chapter business. The Vice President should be able and ready to step into the President role, if and whenever necessary. Secretary The Secretary of the Chapter will manage the records, paperwork, and membership aspect of the Chapter. S/he will keep the list of all the official SIAFU Chapter members and provide reporting on membership, when called upon. The Secretary will keep record of Leadership Council meetings, providing the official minutes for review, and summarize conversations had within the meeting. S/he will note the decisions made and assignments given, and when called upon will communicate to Chapter members regarding Chapter business in between meetings, (e.g., changes in schedule or meeting locations, cancellations, etc.) S/he will also handle all communication with TUMI headquarters, such as questions, online testimonies, suggestions, and pictures.
