Insights for Today

• We ought to hold fast our confession because our high priest, Jesus the Son of God, sympathizes with our weaknesses, at our deepest and most fundamental levels. • Jesus was tempted in all ways as we are, yet he never gave in to those temptations even a single instance, whether in thought, word, or deed. • We can come to the throne of grace boldly, with grateful worship and confident anticipation of blessing because Jesus has become the source of eternal salvation (past, present, and future). • We should know that no struggle, fight, weakness, infirmity, problem, or need we face was not felt by Christ himself during his time here on the earth. He is fully human. • Jesus fulfilled, extended, and is superior to the high priestly order of Aaron, and has been appointed to the order of Melchizedek (no beginning or end, always potent, and final).
