contribute to the welfare and upbuilding of his people through the exercise of our particular gifts. Teachers, along with apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors, have the high privilege of equipping the priesthood in order that it may carry out its duties before God, build up his people, and glorify God in their work. Remember that you represent the interests of the Lord Jesus to the people. As one instructing and equipping the members of his universal priesthood, you have the high privilege of raising up a new generation of leaders for the Church, servants of God for the cause of Christ and his Kingdom. After reciting and/or singing the Nicene Creed (located in the Appendix), pray the following prayer: Almighty Father, give to these your servants grace and power to fulfill their ministry. Make them faithful to serve, ready to teach, constant in advancing your gospel; and grant that, always having full assurance of faith, abounding in hope, and being rooted and grounded in love, they may continue strong and steadfast in your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; to whom, with you and your Holy Spirit, belong glory and honor, worship and praise, now and for ever.
