1. Create simple proverbs that summarize what your point was, e.g., “Obedience brings blessing, disobedience brings judgment.”

2. Open up dialogue with your students about what they think the Scriptures meant to the people when it was written, and what it means for them today.

3. Have an open and honest discussion about the “So what?” of the Scriptures’ message; encourage them to explore what they think the Holy Spirit is saying.

4. Teach the Scriptures from a Christ-centered, kingdom-oriented perspective that focuses on obeying the vision Christ has given us.

B. Don’t play the role of Holy Spirit; give God room to move in your teaching.

2. Give God time to make the truth real for the students.

3. Believe that God might be giving this word today for a challenge or issue at some later time.

C. Celebrate the truth; enjoy it at every opportunity, Ps. 138.1-2.
