» Effective biblical teaching involves three interrelated step in designing, delivering, and applying a teaching presentation. » We must first establish contact with our students, then communicate the content of the Word of God in our lesson with clarity and boldness, and then strive to make connections with the principles of Scripture and the lives of the students. » As we apply these principles, do our homework, live in freedom, and depend on the Holy Spirit, we can expect God to honor his Word by building up the saints of God for the sake of his Son, Jesus. » May God give you grace as you equip men and women to live for Messiah! Amen. The following questions were designed to help you review the material in the second video segment. In this teaching session we reviewed the essential steps that make up effective biblical teaching: establishing contact with the life situation of our audience, communicating content of the Word of God clearly and boldly, and making connections through disciplined application of the Word to our lives. These three steps can be learned; in other words, we can actually learn to establish contact by paying careful attention to the culture and life situation of the students, and learn to better communicate the Word of God by engaging students in such a way as to make the Word come alive for them. Likewise, we can improve at making connections by learning to more effectively link the truth to the needs and challenges of our
