b. Helping the new church connect with a locale expression of the Church for engaging in Kingdom mission (e.g. Urban Church Association) as well as embracing a specific church tradition (e.g. denomination, non-denominational, etc.)
V. A Brief Overview of The Evangel School of Urban Church Planting
A. Vision
1. Vision: to recruit, empower, and release urban leaders who will plant churches and launch indigenous church planting movements
2. Big Idea: Our church plant team will be spiritually, strategically, and tactically ready to plant a church
B. Objectives
Urban Church Planters and their Teams will:
1. Leave Evangel with a clear theological vision for church planting.
2. Embrace a culturally sensitive model and expression of the church.
3. Apply biblical wisdom as they evangelize, equip, and empower throughout the P.L.A.N.T. phases of planting.
4. Represent Christ’s Kingdom with excellence in their locale.
5. Complete the process of prayer, reflection, teaching, and counsel in order to discover God’s unique call for their church plant as reflected in a one-page authorized plan (Charter).
6. Leave Evangel with a Field Coach who has committed to at least three specific times for planning and review in the next year.
