c. Forward thinking: the purpose of team evaluation should neither be punitive nor shame producing. Concentrate on better coordination for maximum results.

C. Be prepared to adapt (Bruce Tuckman’s Model of Team/Group Development, 1965 [“Adjourning” added in 1977])

1. Discern the underlying cause of the conflict

a. Is it team-related (immaturity)? (Incompetent leadership? Egotistical individual team members?)

b. Is it strategy-related (tactical flaws)? (Bad planning? Horrible execution?)

c. Is it enemy-related (evil sabotage)? (Is he sowing doubt? Is he stirring division? Is he causing discouragement? Is he suggesting inevitable defeat?)
