d. The posttribulation view believes that God will sustain his people in the midst of the great tribulation.

3. Midtribulationism seeks to resolve the conflict between pre- and post-tribulation views. It asserts that the Church will experience the less-severe first-half of the tribulation, and then be removed for the second half, when God pours out his wrath on the earth.

a. The Church, in this view, then experiences tribulation but avoids the wrath of God.

4. The bigger picture: God’s ability to sustain his own in the time of crisis

a. The general flavor of the Bible’s teaching in regards to trials and testings seem to align with the posttribulational view.

b. Scripture is full of warnings of the inevitability of believers to go through various trials, James 1.3 and 1 Pet. 4.12ff.

c. We must be ready to endure whatever God may outline for us.

d. We can be confident that whatever God demands, his grace will supply the strength to endure.
