V. The Final End of the Kingdom Consummated Will Be its Theocentric Character: God Will Become All-in-All.

A. The Kingdom’s consummation will reflect the universal knowledge of God.

1. For the first time, we shall all see God and know God in a direct way, unencumbered by sin or evil, Isa. 11.1-9.

2. We will be like him, for we will see him as he is, 1 John 3.2.

B. The Kingdom’s consummation will result in the removal of all evil, which will be eradicated and put down, under the feet of Jesus Christ.

1. All creation will be restored to its Edenic glory, Isa. 11.1-9.

2. All afflictions, evils, distresses, and sin will be put down, and its effects forever, Rev. 21:4.

3. Even the source of temptation and evil will be put down forever, Rev. 20:10.

C. The Kingdom’s consummation will make the redeemed the sole possession of the Lord, those who will belong exclusively to God, called to the worship and service of God and the Lamb.

1. In the New Jerusalem, the city of God come down to humankind, Rev. 21.1-4.
