Luke 17.20-21 (ESV) - Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” Luke 18.16-17 (ESV) - But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” Luke 18.24-25 (ESV) - Jesus, looking at him with sadness, said, “How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Luke 18.29 (ESV) - And he said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God . . .” Luke 19.11-12 (ESV) - As they heard these things, he proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately. He said therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom for himself and then return.” Luke 19.15 (ESV) - When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business. Luke 21.10 (ESV) - Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” Luke 21.31 (ESV) - So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. Luke 22.16 (ESV) - For I tell you, I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God. Luke 22.18 (ESV) - For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.
