James 4.4 - You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 1 John 3.1 - See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

1 John 3.13 - Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you.

Spiritual Conflict

1 John 3.8 - Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. Gen. 3.15 - I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. Isa. 27.1 - In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea. Mark 1.24 - “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are— the Holy One of God.”

Luke 10.18 - And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

John 12.31 - Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.

John 16.11 - concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

Rom. 16.20 - The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Col. 2.15 - He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
