1. The preparation of the Passover, Luke 22.7-13

b. Powerful picture: Jesus is the Lamb of God, preparing his own sacrifice to pay sin’s debt and defeat the powers of the devil (John 1.29; Heb. 2.14-15).

2. High drama of the New Testament: Jesus, the Paschal Lamb of God, shares the Passover with his disciples, Matt. 26.20.

3. Washing of the disciple’s feet, Jesus displays in dramatic power the true nature of his divine heart and servanthood, John 13.1-20.
