b. Powerful picture: Jesus is the Lamb of God, preparing his own sacrifice to pay sin’s debt and defeat the powers of the devil (John 1.29; Heb. 2.14-15).

3. Washing of the disciple’s feet, Jesus displays in dramatic power the true nature of his divine heart and servanthood, John 13.1-20.
