B. Second Movement: the apostles’ commentary on Jesus’ meaning in the NT writings, especially the book of Acts
1. They understood what Jesus said and provided us commentary on the meaning of Jesus’ explanation in their teaching and preaching.
2. The Epistles and Acts contain quotations which reveal their commentary on Jesus’ explanations.
C. Third Movement: the Church’s application of the apostles’ commentary of Jesus’ understanding of the Scriptures
1. We embrace the apostolic tradition and teaching as they enable us as believers to know the relationship of the OT to the NT.

2. One of the most significant truths regarding the promise is the inclusion of Gentiles in the covenant promise of Abraham.
3. We as Christian leaders and ministers must understand precisely and carefully what God’s intent is in including Gentiles in this salvation.
4. Gentiles are included within the Messianic prophecies quoted and written by the apostles. These give us a clear understanding in the relationship of Gentiles to the covenant promise of God.
