B. Implications for our understanding of the OT’s witness to Christ and his Kingdom

1. Adam is a negative type of headship which illustrates and illumines Melchizedek’s order of priesthood of the Most High God as fulfilled in the person of Christ.

2. Christ’s headship of God’s new creation offers a fuller and final picture of what Adam’s role was intended to accomplish.

3. “The second Adam won more for humanity than the first Adam lost.” Christ’s position of headship has resulted in an untold treasure of blessing for those who unite to him by faith.
