The SIAFU Network Chapter Meeting Guide
16 The SIAFU Network
b. Speak directly to the needs, concerns, and issues faced by the members of your SIAFU Chapter
c. Challenge those in attendance to higher and deeper levels of commitment to Christ and his Kingdom
6. Spend time together in prayer and supplication for one another (10 min). Rather than taking much time to share all of the prayer requests that might be present, allow for a minute or two to gather the needs of the group. Then break into smaller units, of four to five people, and pray for the needs shared quickly. Remind them to pray short prayers, directly to the Lord, allowing for everyone present who wishes to pray to intercede for others. After ten minutes, the presider should close out the prayer session from the front, ending the prayer time with a general prayer to the Lord on behalf of all of those present. Remember, focused, continuous prayer will be the key to your SIAFU Chapter’s maturity and growth. Prayer will undergird your efforts and cause you to have great impact on your families and friends, making your service and outreach effective as you follow up on opportunities to represent Christ where you live.
